Información del producto
- 1-(3-Furyl)methanamine
- 3-Furylmethylamine
3-Furanmethanamine is a compound that has been shown to have neuroprotective effects in mouse models of Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. It is also a potential drug target for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, as it interacts with muscarinic M1 receptors found on cholinergic neurons. 3-Furanmethanamine has been shown to induce autophagy and reduce amyloid beta levels in mice, suggesting it may be a useful therapeutic for Alzheimer's disease. 3-Furanmethanamine interacts with the acetylcholine receptor by binding to the polymorphic site. This binding prevents acetylcholine from binding, thereby blocking its effects. 3-Furanmethanamine binds to both enantiomers of acetylcholine receptors, but does not bind to the erythrocyte acetylcholinesterase enzyme.
