Descripción:Frutinone A is a potent inhibitor of the human m2-receptor. The compound has been shown to be effective in treating diabetic patients with a radiation-induced or chronic oral toxicity profile. Frutinone A inhibits receptor activity by binding to the receptor and preventing the formation of an active complex with ATP, which is needed for signal transduction. Frutinone A also has potent inhibition on nucleophilic reactions and redox potentials, as well as natural compounds that are involved in energy metabolism. The compound has been shown to be effective at inhibiting glucose uptake into the cell and fatty acid synthesis in vitro.
