• Descripción: Flonicamid is a fatty acid with insecticidal properties that belongs to the group of leukotriene receptor antagonists. It is used to control populations of insects that feed on plants, such as aphids and leafhoppers, by interfering with their metabolism. Flonicamid has been shown to have high resistance in field studies, which may be due to its ability to cross the leaf surface and be absorbed into plant tissues. Flonicamid has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are involved in many biological processes. This inhibition may be due to its ability to bind to glycol esters and terminal residues in plants.
