• Descripción: Fmoc-D-Tyr(tBu)-OH is a high-affinity, potent, and selective antagonist of the fatty acid binding protein (FABP). It has antimicrobial peptide activity in biological assays. The biological properties of Fmoc-D-Tyr(tBu)-OH are activated by protease activity, which results in the cleavage of the cyclic peptide backbone to form an anti-bacterial peptide with minimal toxicity. This compound can be used as a radionuclide probe for integrin receptors, and has been shown to have a high affinity for integrin αvβ3. Fmoc-D-Tyr(tBu)-OH is synthesized using an asymmetric synthesis that results in the formation of a disulfide bond.
