4-Fluorophenylacetonitrile is a chemical substance with a molecular formula of C6H5FNO. It has been shown to have inhibitory properties against basophilic leukemia cells, which are the type of white blood cells that develop from the myeloid lineage. 4-Fluorophenylacetonitrile also inhibits the production of proton, hydrogen chloride, and chloride in marine microorganisms. This chemical is an aryl halide with fluorine and is used as a precursor for pharmaceuticals such as doxorubicin.
