The activity index of (E)-3-[3'-(4''-fluorophenyl)-1'-(1''-methylethyl)-1H-indol-2''-yl]-2-propnal was significantly lower than those of fenoldopam, a well known antihypertensive agent, for the treatment of liver cancer. The compound also inhibits the growth of bacteria by inhibiting protein synthesis in organisms such as amoeba.
