Descripción:3-Fluorobenzonitrile (3FB) is an organic compound that belongs to the group of aromatic nitriles. It is a monomer that can be processed to make polymers. 3FB can undergo a variety of reactions, including substitution, addition, and elimination reactions with other organic compounds. The activation energy for these reactions is low at room temperature. Some examples of chemical reactions in which 3FB participates are the formation of benzonitrile from benzene and nitric acid and the formation of styrene from styrene and hydrochloric acid. 3FB is a reactive molecule that has been shown to activate opioid receptors in vitro.
