Descripción:5-Fluorosalicylic acid is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the group of 5-substituted salicylates. It has a strong affinity for human serum and can be used as an indicator in the determination of blood glucose. 5-Fluorosalicylic acid also binds to p-nitrophenyl phosphate with high affinity, which is involved in the regulation of cellular energy metabolism and plays a role in the production of ATP. The drug has been shown to form stable complexes with coumarin derivatives, which may have an effect on enzyme activities by modifying their conformational properties. 5-Fluorosalicylic acid has been shown to interact with other drugs, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, which may increase the risk of adverse effects.
