Fenazaquin is a cytochrome P450 inhibitor. It inhibits the activity of CYP3A4, CYP2C9, and CYP2C19. Fenazaquin has been shown to have synergistic effects with tebufenpyrad in vitro assays. Fenazaquin has been used as an imaging agent for the diagnosis of cancer and other diseases. It binds to polyclonal antibodies and can be visualized using immunohistochemistry or immunofluorescence. Fenazaquin also has high affinity for proteins in the polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
