• Descripción: Fluorescent Brightener 113 (FD-113) is a dye used in the diagnosis of apical infections with Trichophyton mentagrophytes. It has been shown to be a sensitive stain for T. mentagrophytes in stained and unstained preparations, as well as in pleural fluid. FD-113 is also used to diagnose infections caused by other dermatophytes, such as Microsporum canis and Microsporum audouinii. This dye binds to peroxide and thuringiensis, which causes it to fluoresce brightly. FD-113 is not mutagenic or carcinogenic and does not bind to DNA or RNA. It does not bind to stilbene derivatives or polymers of ethylene diamine, allowing for easy separation from the dye.; FD-113 is synthesized by the reaction of 2,4-diaminoanisole (2,4-DA) with diisocyanates
