4-(4-Formyl-3,5-dimethoxyphenoxy)butyric acid is a dopamine receptor ligand that binds to the 5-HT7 receptor. It has been shown to inhibit the binding of dopamine at the dopamine receptor and may have some effect on serotonin receptors. This compound also has an amide with a linker that is suitable for attachment to solid phase in order to be synthesized by automated synthesis. 4-(4-Formyl-3,5-dimethoxyphenoxy)butyric acid is an acidic compound with an amino function that can react with amines, such as trifluoroacetic acid or arylpiperazines.
