6-Fluoro-3-(1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridin-4-yl)-1H-indole is a pharmaceutical compound that is used to treat nervous system disorders. It has been shown to have an effect on the central nervous system and is used as a sedative or hypnotic. 6-Fluoro-3-(1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridin-4-yl)-1H-indole has also been found to cause respiratory depression in animals. This drug binds to the c1-c4 alkoxy group of the GABA receptor in the brain and inhibits the binding of GABA which causes an increase in levels of this neurotransmitter and can lead to convulsions.
