Descripción:
N-(4-Fluorophenyl)thiourea (FPTU) is a molecule that belongs to the class of thioureas. It has been shown to have a constant dihedral angle and is membrane transportable, which may be due to its ability to bind receptor proteins. FPTU has also been shown to inhibit chloride ion transport through the intestinal wall. In addition, it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in animal models, which may be due to its ability to inhibit γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) synthesis.
