Información del producto
- 6-Fluoro-2,3-dihydroinden-1-one
- 6-fluoro-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-one
- 6-Fluroro-1-Indanone
6-Fluoro-1-indanone is an analog of a reactive, conformational molecule. It is a sulfide that is cyclooxygenase inhibiting and has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice and rats. 6-Fluoro-1-indanone inhibits the function of two important enzymes, cyclooxygenases and sulfhydryl enzymes, by reacting with their active site. This inhibition prevents the production of prostaglandins and thromboxanes which are known to cause inflammation and pain. 6-Fluoro-1-indanone also inhibits tumor growth by preventing the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and proteins, which are required for cell division. This drug has been shown to be effective against several types of cancer cells including leukemia cells.
