Información del producto
2-Fluoro-5-iodopyridine is an alkaloid that has been shown to act as a ligand for the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. It is a synthetic substance and can be labeled with radioisotopes. The synthesis of 2-fluoro-5-iodopyridine begins by reacting acetyl chloride and 2-chloroacetophenone in the presence of sodium amide. The product is then hydrolyzed to give 2-(2,6-dichlorophenylimino)acetic acid. This compound is then reacted with nitric acid to give 2-(2,6-dichlorophenylimino)benzenehydrazide. Treatment with hydrogen sulfide gives 2-(2,6 dichlorophenylhydrazono)benzene, which reacts with fluorine gas to produce 2-fluoro-5 iodopyridine.
