Descripción:4-Fluoro-2-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester is a chemical compound that is used as a synthetic intermediate in the synthesis of drugs. 4-Fluoro-2-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester can be prepared by reductive amination of an acyl chloride with an amine, followed by reaction with methanol. This chemical intermediate is used in the synthesis of the BCL-2 inhibitor venetoclax, which inhibits cell growth and induces apoptosis in lymphoma cells. 4-Fluoro-2-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester also has been shown to inhibit the activity of amidating enzymes and transferases, suggesting it may have potential as an anti-inflammatory drug.
