Descripción:
Furoin is a nitrogen-containing organic compound that has potent inhibitory activity against 5-hydroxymethylfurfural. It is also a nonpolar solvent with a low energy of ionization and reacts in an acid solution, forming inhibitor molecules. Furoin is capable of inhibiting the reaction mechanism by reacting with hydroxy groups on the catalyst and by binding to cationic surfactant.
