1-(Formamidomethyl)-1H-benzotriazole is a triazole that is used as an acid scavenger and corrosion inhibitor in the manufacture of polyester resins. It has been shown to be effective in preventing copper corrosion, which is due to its ability to adsorb sulfur and provide a protective layer on the copper surface. 1-(Formamidomethyl)-1H-benzotriazole is also used in molecular modeling and microscopy experiments, where it has been shown to produce yields of up to 95%. This compound also has electrochemical properties that can be analyzed through electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
