Descripción:
(S)-N-Fmoc-2-octyl-L-glycine is a fluorescent probe that can be used to detect antibiotics in cells. This compound is not active against bacteria, but it has been used as a fluorescent probe to determine the uptake of antibiotics in cells. The antimicrobial activity of (S)-N-Fmoc-2-octyl-L-glycine is related to its hydrophobicity and cyclic lipopeptide modifications. It has also been shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation and induce apoptosis.
