Descripción:4-Fluorobenzhydrol is a chiral aromatic ketone that has been used in catalytic transfer hydrogenation. The functional theory of 4-fluorobenzhydrol has been rationalized and its catalytic properties have been investigated in detail. 4-Fluorobenzhydrol is a functional group with a catalytic effect and it can be used to catalyze the transfer hydrogenation of aldehydes. 4-Fluorobenzhydrol was synthesized by the reaction of benzene with ethyl chloroformate, followed by hydrolysis of the ester and reduction of the resulting acid chloride. This product has been shown to give high yields from these reactions.
