Descripción

4-Fluorobutanoic Acid is a fatty acid that is structurally related to the benzimidazole derivatives. It has been shown to be effective in lowering blood pressure in hypertensive rats, which may be due to its ability to inhibit angiotensin and increase vasodilation. 4-Fluorobutanoic Acid also has affinity for fatty acids, which allows it to inhibit fatty acid metabolism and reduce high levels of triglycerides in the bloodstream. The maximal response of 4-fluorobutanoic acid is at a molar ratio of 2:1 with respect to the ligand.
