4-Fluorodiphenyl ether is a reactive compound that has been shown to react with the cavity of the f-teda analytical instrument. 4-Fluorodiphenyl ether is thermally stable and can be used in sample preparation for the analysis of fluoroarenes. This compound has also been shown to undergo chemical transformation in non-polar solvents, such as chloroform, dichloromethane, or hexane, with biphenyl being one of the products. The toxicological studies on 4-fluorodiphenyl ether are limited due to its lack of commercial production.
