Descripción:
1-(4-Fluoro-phenyl)-butan-1-one is a dopamine uptake inhibitor. It inhibits the uptake of dopamine by blocking the dopamine transporter and is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. 1-(4-Fluoro-phenyl)-butan-1-one has been shown to be effective in inhibiting the growth of bacteria. The compound also binds to serotonin receptors and has been shown to have neuroleptic properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of dopamine, serotonin, and other neurotransmitters. 1-(4-Fluoro-phenyl)-butan-1-one is toxic to animals at high doses and should not be taken by pregnant women.
