The concentration of 4-fluoro-3-phenoxy benzoic acid in urine is higher in females than males, which may be due to the excretion of metabolites from insecticide exposure. It has also been shown that this metabolite is found at higher concentrations in people with high levels of carboxylic acids. It is not known if 4-fluoro-3-phenoxy benzoic acid is harmful to humans or other animals.
