Información del producto
(2-Fluorophenyl)thio]acetic acid (FPAA) is a selective fluorinating agent that reacts with carbon atoms. It can be used to selectively replace the fluorine atom in an organic molecule with a fluorine atom. FPAA has been used for the preparation of thiomethyl derivatives, which are useful for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. FPAA also reacts with metal ions such as copper(II) to produce 2-fluorophenylthio]acetic acid copper(II). This reaction is regioselective and ortho, giving the desired product in high yield.
