21-Fluoro-16-Ethyl-19-Norprogesterone is a glycol ether that has a molecular weight of 462.5 Da. It is an inhibitor of the enzyme activities that cause infectious diseases, such as glycol esterase and protein kinase. 21-Fluoro-16-Ethyl-19-Norprogesterone is used to treat wastewater and magnetic particles. The molecule can be adsorbed onto nanoparticles with a size range of 5 nm to 100 nm, which are then used for drug delivery or targeted cancer therapy.
21-Fluoro-16-Ethyl-19-Norprogesterone has been shown to inhibit fatty acid biosynthesis in Escherichia coli cells by inhibiting the activity of 3 enzymes: acetyl CoA carboxylase, thiolase, and enoyl CoA hydratase.
