3-(Fluoromethyl)-3-Butenyl Diphosphate (3-FBDP) is a food additive that has been shown to have anticancer properties in prostate cancer cells. This compound inhibits the production of telomerase, which is an enzyme that extends telomeres and is necessary for proliferation of tumor cells. 3-FBDP also has a significant inhibitory effect on the growth of cancer cells in vitro. It can be used as an alternative therapy for patients with Alzheimer's disease or cancer, who are not responding to traditional treatments. 3-FBDPs effectiveness may be due to its ability to reverse the effects of oxidative stress and improve mitochondrial function by protecting against mitochondrial dysfunction.
