6-Fluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-indole is a compound that can be prepared from magnesium sulfate, magnesium, and sulfate. It has a yellow color, with a yellow solid melting point of 129°C. The compound has been shown to react with compounds such as ethyl acetate, chloride and ammonium chloride solution in the presence of chloroform. When 6-fluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-indole reacts with ethyl acetate in the presence of chloroform, it forms a yellow liquid that is soluble in chloroform. When 6-fluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-indole reacts with ammonium chloride in the presence of tetrahydrofuran (THF), it forms an orange precipitate that is insoluble in THF or water.
