Descripción:2'-Deoxy-5-fluorocytidine 5'-monophosphate is a nucleotide that is synthesized by the enzyme cytidine deaminase. It is used as a diagnostic agent in the detection of infectious diseases such as HIV, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and cytomegalovirus (CMV). 2'-Deoxy-5-fluorocytidine 5'-monophosphate inhibits DNA synthesis by blocking the incorporation of deoxycytidylate into DNA. The compound is also an inhibitor of collagen synthesis in tissues and cells. Hydrogen bonds between this compound and its target enzymes are thought to be important for its inhibitory effects.
