2-Fluoro-N-n-propylnorapomorphine hydrobromide is a fluorescent probe that is used to study dopamine receptor (D2) interactions. It exhibits high affinity for the D2 receptor, and also has stereoselective binding properties. This compound can be used as a molecular probe to study the biological effects of D2 receptors in rat brain tissue, for example. 2-Fluoro-N-n-propylnorapomorphine hydrobromide has been shown to be selective for the D2 receptor over other dopamine receptors, such as the D1 and D3 receptors.
