4-[1-Fluoro-4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)hexan-3-yl]phenol is a radiopharmaceutical that is used for the treatment of estrogen receptor positive human breast cancer. This drug binds to the estrogen receptor, which can be found in high concentrations in human breast tumors, and has low affinity for other tissues. 4-[1-Fluoro-4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)hexan-3-yl]phenol is taken up by breast tumors with a high uptake rate, leading to tumor cell death. This radiopharmaceutical has been shown to be effective in treating human breast tumors.
