FR 122047 hydrochloride is a novel drug that has been shown to have a pressor effect in animals. This compound also has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of prostaglandins. It has been shown to bind to cannabinoid receptors in animals, but it is unclear if this is the mechanism by which it mediates its effects. FR 122047 hydrochloride has been shown to inhibit the function of caspase-8, an enzyme that plays a role in regulating the cell cycle and apoptosis. The inhibition of caspase-8 leads to increased levels of mitochondrial cytochromes, which are important for cellular respiration. FR 122047 hydrochloride has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation and antinociceptive effects in mice.
