Descripción

Ginkgolide A is a polyphenolic compound found in the leaves of Ginkgo biloba that has been shown to inhibit the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and biological samples. It also has an effect on neuronal death, apoptosis pathway, and toll-like receptors. Ginkgolide A inhibits the expression of certain target enzymes by interacting with transcription factors such as NF-κB, leading to neuroprotection. It also has synergic effects with other drugs used in treatment for myocardial infarcts.
