(-)-a-Gurjunene is not soluble in hexane, diethyl ether, or dilution, but is soluble in semivolatile solvents such as diethyl ether. (-)-a-Gurjunene can be found in tropical plants such as Ferula species, and it is one of the most influential compounds detected during delipidation.
