Descripción

Erythro-Glycopyrronium bromide is a quaternary ammonium anticholinergic drug with clinical use in the treatment of pulmonary disease. It acts by blocking the action of acetylcholine at the muscarinic acetylcholine receptor. Erythro-Glycopyrronium bromide has been shown to be safe and effective in human clinical trials, with no adverse effects on heart rate or blood pressure. This drug has a long duration of action and is an enantiomer of glycopyrrolate. The erythro form is more potent than the threo form, which is used clinically as an antispasmodic agent for gastrointestinal disorders.
