Descripción:Gentamicin C2b is an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. This drug is used to treat a wide variety of infections, including those caused by Escherichia coli, Enterobacter cloacae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Gentamicin C2b has been shown to have high resistance against wild-type strains of bacteria as well as resistant mutants. The chemiluminescence method for measuring gentamicin in biological fluids has been shown to be a sensitive and specific analytical method. Gentamicin C2b has been tested for toxicity in both animals and humans and it appears to be well tolerated. There are no known studies on the toxicological effects of gentamicin C2b in pregnant women or their fetuses.
