Guinea Green B is a dye that is used as a marker for the detection of radiation. It is also used to identify and quantify microorganisms in food samples. Guinea Green B has shown no toxicity, even at high concentrations. This dye emits light with a wavelength of 510 nm when irradiated by light, which can be detected with an ultraviolet lamp or black light. Guinea Green B has been used in studies on the cytoskeleton of cells, specifically their cytoplasm, and is commonly used in kinetic studies to measure the rate of chemical reactions.
