Información del producto
N-Glycylglycyl-S-Acetylcysteamine Trifluoroacetate (GGACT) is a radioprotective agent that can be used for the protection of intestinal tissues during radiation therapy. GGACT is given intravenously, and is not absorbed from the intestine. It interacts with irradiated cells, which leads to the death of these cells by way of apoptosis. GGACT also has an effect on the nucleus and increases proton production in cells during irradiation. GGACT also protects against radiation-induced cell deformation, as it protects against DNA damage and oxidative stress.
