Descripción:Cis-3-hexenal is a fatty acid that is found in various foods, including soybean and corn oils. It can be used as a chemical substrate to measure the activity of lipoxygenases, enzymes that catalyze the formation of hydroperoxides from polyunsaturated fatty acids. Cis-3-hexenal is also an insect attractant and has been shown to have antifungal properties against plant pathogens such as Phytophthora infestans.
