Descripción

9-Hydrazinoacridine is an aromatic compound that has been identified as a potential drug candidate for the treatment of tropical diseases such as schistosomiasis and lymphocytic leukemia. The computational method used to analyze 9-hydrazinoacridine's chemical structure suggested that it has a biological function similar to that of histamine, in that it activates the H1 receptor. The presence of hydrazine on the molecule may allow for better absorption through the skin, which would be beneficial for topical treatments.
