Descripción:7-Hydroxyisoquinoline is a quinine derivative that has been shown to be mutagenic in the Salmonella typhimurium assay. This compound also has hydrolysis products, which are isomers of 7-hydroxyisoquinoline. The mechanism of hydrolysis is not entirely understood, but it may involve thiourea as an intermediate. It is metabolized through methylation and deamination reactions. 7-Hydroxyisoquinoline is also reactive and can form adducts with DNA.
