4-Hydroxycinnoline-3-carboxylicacid is a phenylhydrazone that is used as an agrochemical. It has been shown to be effective against bacteria and fungi. 4-Hydroxycinnoline-3-carboxylicacid can be used for the production of other chemicals such as cinnolines, which are aromatic compounds with a wide range of biological properties. 4-Hydroxycinnoline-3-carboxylic acid can also be used in catalytic reduction reactions and has been shown to have antibacterial effects against various types of bacteria. This chemical is also able to break down nitro groups and dimethylformamide to produce chloride, which may be due to its hydrolysing properties.
