It is also present in water vapor and infectious diseases, such as Aerobacter aerogenes. Hydroxylysine has been shown to have a number of biochemical and biological properties, including collagen synthesis and metabolic disorders. The enzyme activity of hydroxylysine has been studied using in vitro assays on a number of different biological samples. It has also been shown to have a signal peptide for protein secretion.
