Descripción:
3-Hydroxyphenylthiourea is a glycol that has a higher viscosity when heated. It is used in the production of polyurethanes, diisocyanates, and thermoplastics. 3-Hydroxyphenylthiourea is also used to introduce the glycol functionality into dianhydride or urethane-based polymers for use as thermoplastic materials. It has been shown to have a high degree of processability, heat resistance, and good crystallinity with an average molecular weight of 142 g/mol. 3-Hydroxyphenylthiourea can be analyzed by thermal gravimetric analysis which provides an average weight loss at 230 °C.
