Descripción:4-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)-1,3-thiazol-2-amine (4HT) is a potent antibacterial agent that belongs to the group of antibiotics. It binds to bacterial ribosomes and inhibits protein synthesis by a mechanism that is not yet fully understood. 4HT has been shown to be active against a number of bacteria, including E. coli, Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, and Bacillus subtilis. It is also active against Gram-positive bacteria such as Mycoplasma spp., Chlamydia trachomatis, and Streptococcus pyogenes. 4HT has also been shown to inhibit choline uptake in E. coli cells.END>>
