Descripción:1-Heneicosanol is a monounsaturated fatty acid with a hydroxyl group on the end. It is found in nuts, seeds, and vegetable oils. 1-Heneicosanol has been shown to be a cationic surfactant that binds to proteins and polymers such as polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl pyrrolidone. It also inhibits oxidation reactions by binding to persulfates and phenolic acids. 1-Heneicosanol is used as a drug for the treatment of inflammation in pharmaceutical preparations.
