Descripción:(S,S)-Hydroxy bupropion is a drug that is used to treat some forms of depression in humans. It is a dopaminergic agent that acts on the dopamine receptor and has been shown to be effective for the treatment of some metabolic disorders in humans. The low potency of this drug may be due to its metabolism by CYP2B6, which prevents it from being active when taken orally. This drug also has been shown to have antagonist effects against the cannabinoid receptor (CB1) and may have therapeutic potential for treating obesity and nicotine addiction.
