Información del producto
- 2-(6-Hydroxynaphthalen-2-yl)acetic acid
- 2-Naphthaleneacetic acid, 6-hydroxy-
6-Hydroxy-2-naphthaleneacetic acid (6HNA) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that acts as an inhibitor of prostaglandin synthesis. It has been shown to inhibit the production of prostaglandins by rat liver microsomes, and is metabolized through a series of reactions involving reduction products, glucuronidation, and conjugation with glutathione. 6HNA has been shown to be orally active in rats and mice, but has not been tested in humans. It is also used as a substrate for the recombinant human β-glucuronidase enzyme in kinetic studies on the metabolism of xenobiotics.
