• Descripción: 2-Hydroxy-5-nitrobenzyl bromide is a reactive fatty acid that is used as an enzyme inhibitor. It has been shown to bind to the receptor binding site of human trypsin and inhibit its activity. This drug inhibits the activity of soybean trypsin, which is involved in protein digestion, and also prevents the formation of basic proteins. 2-Hydroxy-5-nitrobenzyl bromide also binds to nitrogen atoms in enzymes and alters their conformational properties. It has been shown to inhibit aerobacter aerogenes, which is a bacterium found in soil and water, and it also inhibits the enzyme activities of tryptophan fluorescence. 2-Hydroxy-5-nitrobenzyl bromide does not interact significantly with human serum.
