4-HydroxyMethylphenylboronic acid pinacol ester (4HMPA) is a reactive molecule that binds reversibly to the l1210 leukemia cell line. It can be used as a targeted therapy for cancer, especially in the treatment of fatty acid-related cancers. 4HMPA has been shown to have good specificity and selectivity in cellular microenvironments, with no effect on healthy cells. This drug also has specificities for intestinal cancer cells and can be used as a chemotherapeutic agent. The binding of 4HMPA to the l1210 leukemia cell line is irreversible, which prevents its release from the target cells and allows it to exert its cytotoxic effects. It also inhibits fatty acid synthesis and chloride ion transport, which leads to increased levels of organic solvent in the target cells.
